Joe Biden Wins!

Help Colorado Dems Win in 2020!
Dear Colorado Family –

It is with overwhelming joy and relief that I can share Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are officially over the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency and the popular vote in America! Words cannot express how thankful I am to each of you who made history and literally saved our country and our democracy in this 2020 election!

I am proud to be Chair of the Colorado Democratic Party and to have worked with each of you to end an era of corruption, cruelty, and chaos. The past four years have been spent under psychological and moral assault, daily, hourly normalizing autocracy, white supremacy, hate, and dismantling progress and decency. Our people and our planet could not have survived another four years. Depression, anxiety, even suicide rates have gone up.

Today is a new beginning, where we can respect one another, love one another and really ask ourselves how we create a more perfect union. Building a better future is not just about one faction defeating another or finding ways to create new factions. It is about building a coalition to create a better society for all of us.

This moment in history is an opportunity to think big, try new things, and re-invent justice, fairness, and hope to include everyone who has previously been left behind.

“We all do better when we all do better.”

– Senator Paul Wellstone.

"Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you."

– Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg

And honor Congressman John Lewis with some “good trouble.”

Freedom is not a state; it is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau where we can finally sit down and rest. Freedom is the continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.”

It will be an honor to build our future together with you, to be part of healing the nation, reaching for new heights, exploring how we can all continue to be better versions of ourselves, and help our elected leaders pass the reforms we need to make this country the very best version of itself, sustain our planet, and take our humanity to the best we can be.

In Solidarity,
